Babb Keeps Moyer At Bay Again

By SPEED SPORT Staff -June 16, 2018 SYCAMORE, Ill. — Shannon Babb outdueled Billy Moyer for the second consecutive night — this time in a down-to-the-wire thriller — to score a $10,000 victory in Friday’s 55-lap DIRTcar Summer Nationals feature at Sycamore Speedway. Moyer grabbed the lead from Babb on lap two and set the pace until the final six circuits, when the two longtime rivals swapped the top spot five times before Babb made his decisive pass on lap 54. Drivers take to the track for the Summer Nationals journey

The Pontiac Daily Leader published a great article in Rocky Ragusa’s Speed Week column, on June 14th, 2018 about the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, coming this Friday to Sycamore Speedway! About Sycamore Speedway they say: Making its second-ever appearance on the tour will be the Sycamore Speedway. Located on State Road 64 in Maple Park, the half-mile track received high marks from race teams, media members and the race fans. The Hell Tour Gets Hotter with Nine $10,000-To-Win Races

The world was once filled with endurance races. The Paris-to-Dakar Rally, Baja 1000, and even the World 600 was conceived as a way to push drivers and equipment to their limit.
